Project case study

Curated Photo Archive

Reframed the gallery from a fake filter interface into a calmer archive built around sequencing, captions, and the images that actually deserve to stay in front of people.

  • Editorial sequencing
  • Typed content

Intent

I do not want the photo section to feel like a stock gallery template. The archive is supposed to read more like a small publication with a clear point of view.

Key decisions

The biggest change was replacing fake controls with real curation. Instead of pretending the work can be sliced infinitely, the site groups images into small collections that already say something about how I shoot.

  • fewer images per view
  • captions that explain why a frame matters
  • metadata that helps without overwhelming the viewer
